Call for papers PARC Vol. 3 No. 8 “Living in downtown: contemporary strategies” from FEC-UNICAMP

The FEC- UNICAMP invite researchers and professional architects and engineers to submit papers to the 8th edition of PARC - Research in Architecture and Construction. In April 2012 we will publish a special issue on "Living in downtown". Papers should discuss contemporary issues related to the topic above in a critical and original way, contributing to the development of the field. Issues of interest include, but are not limited to, housing design, urban open space design, infra-structure, urban transportation, demographic trends, living styles, downtown renovation projects, etc.

Papers (in Portuguese, English or Spanish) must be sent by email, and must be formatted according to the template available at the site.

PARC - Research in Architecture and Construction - is a peer-reviewed, electronic journal created in 2006 by the Department of Architecture and Construction of the State University of Campinas, Brazil. In five years, we have published 48 research papers and received more than 25,000 visits. They are presently rated Qualis B3 by CAPES, the Brazilian academic classification system and we now intend to broaden the scope of the journal, encouraging international publications.

Issue is scheduled to be released in April, 2012.
